Bill O’Shea’s began when a neighborhood man decided every celebration and every condolence deserved something better than a catalog arrangement. Decades later the same care shows in every stem he and his team select. Morning light hits buckets of ranunculus, peonies, and garden roses that arrived before sunrise from local growers and trusted farms farther south. The shop smells of freesia and fresh-cut greenery while ribbon spools and handwritten cards line the counter. Customers come in for a single stem for a neighbor and leave with an armful chosen together. Some bring photos of a favorite garden; others describe the feeling they want to send. Whether the order is for a birthday table or a hospital room, the result feels personal because the hands that placed every bloom still belong to people who know the families on the route.

What We Offer

Everyday bouquets are assembled the same morning they’re ordered so they arrive at peak freshness. Same-day delivery covers Hasbrouck Heights, Hackensack, and surrounding Bergen County towns. Sympathy arrangements are designed with quiet dignity and delivered to funeral homes with clear placement instructions. "For years, due to a friend’s referral, I had used a high-end florist in New York City through which to send flowers. It has since closed, and I wanted to send some to my sister-in-law, so I did a Google search of “best florist near Hackensack.” I couldn’t help but notice the number of five star reviews Bill O’Shea‘s had, and after reading many of them, I decided to make an order online. It was quick and easy, and the flowers were delivered the next day as promised. My sister-in-law was thrilled, and they are exactly what I requested (bright colors including yellow and orange - but not exclusively so - with a few roses). My only constructive criticism – and I know the owner will read this because they respond to reviews (an engaged owner is another reason why I chose them) - is I didn’t see a way to add a tip for the delivery driver if you order the “Designer’s Choice.” This choice allows you to name a price point and make a few requests, but leaves the construction of the bouquet up to the florist. Luckily, I had snooped around the website and had seen the option to add a delivery tip for set bouquets (e.g., “Nature’s Glory” or “THE PERFECT DOZEN”). The way I was able to leave a tip for the driver was to, in addition to my “Designer’s Choice,” put one of the set bouquets in my cart, add the optional driver tip, then remove the set bouquet. Dear Owner, I hope you can fix this! I’ll be sure to call upon Bill O’Shea’s again. I am thrilled to support a local small business, and they’re now my new go-to florist! EDIT: I snooped around some more, and it seems like the “Designer’s Choice” that is under “Best Sellers” (the one starting at $75.00) is the only one that has no delivery tip option. There are more expensive “Designer Choice” options, and the delivery tip option is there. It’s still something I hope can be fixed."

"I ordered an arrangement for a friend for same day delivery, and I am so pleased with everything. My friend sent me a photo of the flowers she received, and they are absolutely beautiful! Lovely mix of colors and assorted types of flowers were included, and arrangement was wrapped with a large yellow bow. Delivery was made quickly- just a few hours after I placed my order online. Highly recommend Bill O'Shea's - I have never been disappointed. Service is professional and quality of flowers is outstanding. Shop also has a very nice assortment of gift items. Highly recommend."

Do you offer same-day delivery?

Yes. Orders placed by 1 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. on Saturdays can usually be delivered the same day within Hasbrouck Heights and nearby towns.

Can I request a specific color palette or flower type?

Absolutely. Tell us the occasion, preferred colors, and any allergies. We’ll suggest what’s freshest that day and build the arrangement around your wishes.

How far do you deliver?

We deliver throughout Hasbrouck Heights, Hackensack, Lodi, Wood-Ridge, and most of Bergen County. Further deliveries are available with advance notice.

What if the recipient isn’t home?

We’ll leave the flowers in a safe, shaded spot and send a photo and text alert so they know the delivery has arrived.

Do you design wedding flowers?

Yes. We create full wedding packages including bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and ceremony installations. Consultations include a site visit if needed.

How do I order sympathy flowers?

Call or order online with the funeral home name and service time. We coordinate delivery timing and include a card with your message.

Can I add a balloon or gift basket?

Of course. We pair fresh flowers with balloons, plants, or curated gift baskets so everything arrives together in one delivery.
